Born from Egyptian parents in Mekka, Saudi Arabia, Maged Mohamed took his first ballet classes at the age of eight. 


In 1996, at the age of only 16, Maged obtained his first engagement at the Cairo Opera Ballet Company where after only one year he became a solo dancer. In 1998 he graduated from the

Higher Institute of Ballet in Cairo, Egypt, and was rewarded with a scholarship from the UNESCO Art Foundation in the same year. The scholarship opened the door to the prestigious Associazione Balletto Classico in Reggio Emilia, Italy, where he danced at ABC (Cosi-Stefanescu) in the season 1998/99 and where he would also graduate from the Fine Arts University.


In 2000 at the age of 20 he joined the Staatstheater Meiningen as a soloist to then become a member of the ensemble at the world famous Semperoper in Dresden, Germany. From season 2008/2009 until August 2015 he was a member of the ensemble at the renowned Bavarian State Ballet Munich.


Maged Mohammed’s vast repertoire and performing experience includes with equal implicitness classic, new classic, modern and contemporary dance. He has performed some of the most notable works from Petipa, Ashton, Iavrovsky, Cranko, Begirt, Tetly, Lassnini, Cunningham, Sir MacMillan, just to name a few and has worked with such influential choreographers like Uwe Scholz, John Neumeier, William Forsythe, Jiri Kylian, Vladimir Derevianko, Matz Ek, Arzure Barton and others.
